You don’t need a shelf full of expensive products to start caring for your skin and wellbeing. Small, consistent lifestyle shifts can help soften signs of aging and keep your skin glowing longer.


Here are simple, do-at-home anti-aging tips backed by science and aligned with our natural-care philosophy


1) Take Your Hydration to the Next Level

Dehydrated skin looks dull and accentuates fine lines.

Try:

  • A glass of water first thing in the morning-- or better yet, a glass of coconut or fruit-infused water. Your body holds on better to water when it contains electrolytes from the coconut or other fruit.

  • Herbal teas for hydration + antioxidants -- swap out your second (or third) cup of coffee for herbal tea, since it is better for hydration.

  • A humidifier in dry months -- the dry air of winter can be brutal on your skin, and our home heating makes it worse. Keep the air humidified in your house for better skin and lung health. Consider turning down the heat a little, and putting on more layers-- it's better for you, and the planet!



2) Improve Your Beauty Sleep

Nighttime is when your skin repairs itself.

Healthy sleep habits:

  • Power down screens 60 minutes before bed

  • Sleep on your back to reduce creasing

  • Take 10 deep meditative breaths before bed

  • Wear socks and even gloves in the cold months to boost circulation and keep you cozy

3) Strengthen Your Skin from Within

What you eat shows up on your skin.

Focus on:

  • Antioxidants (berries, leafy greens) for a brighter complexion

  • Omega-3 fats (chia seeds, flax, walnuts) for supple skin

  • Collagen-supporting foods (citrus, broccoli, almonds)



4) Protect Your Skin Daily with SPF

The sun is the #1 cause of premature aging — even in winter. If you don't do anything else for your skin, DO THIS!

Make it a ritual:

  • Mineral sunscreen every morning

  • Reapply when outdoors for long periods

  • Don’t forget chest, neck, palms and backs of hands



5) Manage Stress for Healthy Hormones + Skin

7) Avoid Repeated Botox, Fillers and Laser Treatments

While these treatments may give great short-term results, there can be long-term losses rather than gains.

  • Botox temporarily paralyses your muscles which overtime can lead to muscle wasting and fluid buildup which can actually worsen wrinkles and damage the skin barrier

  • Fillers stretch the skin, giving a temporary lift, but they are not treating the underlying problem and they do not boost collagen

  • Lasers can boost collagen but they are not guaranteed to strengthen the skin barrier
